A workshop built to make the kind of work we wanted to keep making.
Numu was started by people who care, perhaps a little too much, about the way a drawer closes. We came up through the trade, watched the industry chase shortcuts, and decided to take the longer road instead — a workshop where every cabinet is drawn, dry-fitted and finished under one roof, by hands that answer for the work.
What began with kitchens grew into wardrobes, vanities, libraries and the quieter pieces of joinery that hold a home together. The brief shifts from project to project; the standard never does.
Today, Numu sits in Montague Gardens, Cape Town — a working atelier serving private homes and commercial spaces from the southern tip of Africa to the European standard that shaped us.
